What are your guys’ ideas for the ideal SH movie cast? I’ve seen a few really good variations on Walter besides Brad Pitt, but can’t remember them at the moment. x__X Someone once told me that Avril Lavigne looks like Eileen but I was like, “WHUT?”

Got the gallery plugin all loaded up and whatnot, uploading some sketches that I probably won’t put on deviantart, ha… ahh… the site is still pretty barren at the moment so bear with me until I get everything up. I’m going to start doing updates both here and over on deviantart. I’m debating whether or not I should grab all my older deviantart blog entries and copy them over here, just so it doesn’t feel so naked. XD

Afterlife is coming along great, 25,455 words so far, just have to get my completed chapters polished up and then update the fanfiction.net Afterlife page. New chapter art coming too… Let’s see, gah, I suck at blogging… Uh, on a non-Afterlife related fanfiction note, I’ve had a few plot ideas bouncing around for some other oneshot and short fics, so expect an update to “Change” in the near future, and maybe even something new.

So a while ago I found this pretty great model viewer made by Perdedork in the SH modding community. It recently got alpha version support for the Silent Hill 4 models which is a godsend for anyone who’s crazy about details or even wants a better look at the models for cosplay design purposes. After going crazy with it and a screenshot grabber, I slapped a few good shots together for Eileen and Walter and made some character reference sheets. Unfortunately, Henry was still unsupported and was a general stray-polygon mess that my lack of 3D modeling skills can’t fix.
It seemed like Eileen’s normal outfit was the only model that loaded without any glitches (save for the lack of hair fringes and the bottom layer of her hair) but everything else was great. It took a little work to get screenshots of Walter and avoid the stray polygons that rendered with him. I hope to have one coming up of Cynthia and maybe some other characters for shits and giggles. They wouldn’t be as detailed as the Walter and Eileen ones since I mostly made these model reference sheets for the Afterlife project and general Walter/Eileen fannishness, but still– someone might be able to use them and want to cosplay as Cynthia or something. Who knows.
When a newer version comes out I’ll be sure to jump on that and try to make one for Henry, since he’s like… SH4’s protagonist and stuff. Both are about 1024×768 after uploading it to flickr. I would have uploaded it here under scraps, but I wasn’t sure if it would just get deleted by moderators or something. If anyone knows if that would be acceptable, let me know and I’ll post ‘em up on my dA scrapbook.
I also did a height comparison for Walter and Eileen, again for my own fanart reference material. [link] I always kind of figured she only came up to his chin.

I don’t know how many of you guys are California residents, or even US residents, but there’s been some pretty big issues since May about the whole gay marriage issue. It’s called Proposition 8, which will pretty much invalidate any same-sex marriages since May ‘08 (when it was legalized) and rewrite the California state constitution to only recognize “Marriage” by definition as a union between a man and a woman.
Uh… no. That’s called “Discrimination”. Equality anyone? I dunno about you, but Equality tastes a lot nicer than Discrimination.
I think this new campaign ad for “No on Prop 8″ sums it up beautifully.

DID THE RABBIT DO THIS TO YOU? THE RABBIT DID IT.” and then we go to the hospital and behind the curtains its like, “Oh damn, Walter’s scoring again.” then we see what he’s really doing and it’s like [゜д゜][゜д゜][゜д゜] “WHUT… EWWW… HYSTERECTOMY FAIL.” then he comes after Henry like, “HAY BABY DID YOU JUST DROP THE SOAP?” and Henry’s like, “Oh fuck!” and runs.
I’d run. I’d probably try to get his number first, and then Walter would be like, “What the… but… you’re a dude.” and I’d be like, “Don’t mind the hair, baby, I’ll show you a REAL woman.” and he’d be like, [゜д゜] and I’d be like, “How long am I going to ramble on about this shit?”
Yeah… I get some interesting thoughts on my first playthroughs.
If I could just get my hands on that damn PC version.
Right now here are my predictions.
- Takes place after SH4. Either 1-2 years later or present day in 2008.
- Joshua is the product of Adam and Lilian trying to have a child to sacrifice for the god.
- Joshua may have been sacrificed to the god already by their father Adam.
- Adam kills Lilian.
- A possible wife or lover besides Lilian? (Lilith vs Eve?)
- Joshua and Alex relating to a possible Cain & Abel theme?
- The Judge is Laura grown up.
- Pyramid Head is probably here for Adam.
- Adam may be the real “antagonist” of the game. Perhaps a head member of The Order? Perhaps even trying to restore the Order to power after Walter offed all the previous leaders.
- The cop dies. ….what? Stop looking at me like that, I’ve seen Dawn of the Dead!
My last prediction is totally pulled out of my ass and most likely way off, but I have a feeling that at the end Alex is going to find out that he was dead all along, all Jacob’s Ladder and what not. I’m not sure how, but I won’t be surprised. But then again, everyone knows that ending’s a big fat cop out and /only/ worked in Jacob’s Ladder.
I also have a feeling that Elle and Alex are going to be something like Harry and Cybil. Little happens between them, and once it starts getting interesting, she either gets offed or the story goes back to beating Joshua’s mea…story.
I’m also getting a “Jealous brother, spoiled youngest child” thing too. I think Alex is going to have some kind of inner conflicts because he loves his brother but there’s jealousy too.
I’d like to see more about the James, Eddie, and Kauffman achievements. I wonder if there will be references to them similar to SH2’s references to Walter? That would be interesting as hell.
Ah.
Damn it, I want this game. If I called it on any of these points and you guys have played it already, don’t tell me, I gotta find this shit out for myself. I’m trying to go in with low expectations so DH doesn’t totally let me down.
